In Ireland, they say you’ll never plough a field by turning it over in your mind. There’s a lesson there about the perils of procrastination – and when it comes to holiday shopping, you don’t want to procrastinate too much longer, as the Post Office has drawn a line and firmly stated that packages must be sent out to customers by December 20th at the very latest, or there’s no guarantee that they’ll arrive in time for Christmas morning.

We don’t want you to be disappointed – but we also want you to know that sometimes, good things happen to those who wait. To make your holiday shopping fun, simple, and easy we’re offering a special site-wide 20% discount on everything on the Celtic Knot Works website from now until 12/20.

You Mentioned a Solstice Surprise?

This year, the Winter Solstice is Friday, December 21st. Celebrated as Yule in some traditions, the Winter Solstice marks the point in the year when the days start staying brighter a little longer. During long, cold Celtic winters, seeing the sun return was certainly a joyous occasion.

Decorating trees is a holiday tradition for many people. The Yule tree is representative of the Tree of Life, which is also known as the World Tree. People would decorate the Yule tree with the things they’d like to receive during the coming year, which is why fruit and other motifs of plenty are so popular. We have our own version of the Tree of Life, the award winning design you can see here.

During Winter Solstice, you can save 21% on our Tree of Life jewelry as well as everything else on our website. Bear in mind that we won’t be able to ship you Yule purchases in time for Christmas, due to Post Office deadlines, but they will arrive shortly thereafter. And if you spend $30 or more, shipping is free!
