Viking Wayfinder Shaving Soap Gift Set
Viking Wayfinder Shaving Soap - Collaboration with Paintbox Soapworks
Baltic amber, teak wood, warm spices
The Viking Compass is known as the vegvisir, which means signpost or wayfinder. It is an old Icelandic sigil for protection and finding your way through rough weather. In the Huld Manuscript where this symbol is described, it says "If this sign is carried, one will never lose one's way in storms or bad weather, even when the way is not known."
Our Wayfinder blend is anchored in deep golden Baltic amber, smoky & gently sweet & speaking of hidden ways through unknown lands. Steam-bent teak wood beams creak underfoot, securing sacks of peppercorns & allspice berries for the long road ahead. Wayfinder is warm & welcoming, like an inviting hearth after a rough journey.
- To make this an extra special gift, add a matching fine pewter coin from our friends at Viking Celt Trading Co. & Celtic Knot Works!
- Viking Compass - A traditional symbol for protection and guidance with runic inscription.
- Fine Pewter coin approx. 1.25" Diameter
- Runic Inscription reads: "Not all who wander are lost. Journey Well!"
- Proudly Handcrafted in USA
This listing is for a generous 4-ounce round of my luxurious glycerin soap, fortified with ultrafine bentonite clay for a smooth, comfortable shave. I use a hefty, round mold that sits handsomely in a shaving bowl, or you can lather up with your hands. The end result? Huge, stable lather, great slip & delicious scents to get you soft, smooth & ready for action. I hand cast in small batches with no SLS, propylene glycol, parabens, animal products or other funny stuff! Most of my fragrances are phthalate-free, too. My bars produce gorgeous, abundant lather & have unique scents that cling gently to your skin. You'll be left feeling clean & smelling fantastic.
I hand-wrap each bar in cellophane, with all ingredients clearly labeled for your peace of mind:
Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Safflower Oil, Glycerin (kosher, of vegetable origin), Purified Water, Sodium Hydroxide (saponifying agent), Sorbitol (moisturizer), Sorbitan oleate (emulsifer), Oat Protein (conditioner), Fragrance Oil, Bentonite, Titanium Dioxide, Mica
Since I work in small batches, you may notice slight variations in color from bar to bar. New to a good old fashioned wet shave? The guys at The Art of Manliness won't steer you wrong: http://artofmanliness.com/2008/01/04/how-to-shave-like-your-grandpa/
