The 24 runes of the elder futhark are cast in fine pewter and feel as good in the hand as they look. They are solid and durable – perfect for travel. The outer box is made of heavy 20-gauge Stainless Steel, with my Laser etched raven design. The inner wooden drawer is custom built of birch. This set is pocket-sized and ready for adventure!
You can choose the full Pewter Travel Rune Set, which includes the Stainless Steel box, inner wooden box, and the 24pc runes. Or, if you prefer, you can order the steel-and-wood box separately and/or the runes separately.
About the Raven: Since moving to northern Arizona I have developed a fondness for ravens. They symbolize thought, memory, creativity, intelligence, with a touch of trickster energy for good measure. I wanted to come up with a fresh design that also paid tribute to their long history and lore. My final design is complex and playful, much like these great birds. And because there association with Odin I thought it was a perfect design for a rune box.
