- Pewter pendant approx. 1″w, presented on a 21″ Stainless Steel chain
- Inscription reads: “Vegvisir / May I never lose my way, in storms or bad weather, even when the way is not known.”
The Viking Compass is known as the vegvisir, which means signpost or wayfinder. It is an old icelandic sigil for protection and finding your way through rough weather. In the Huld Manuscript where this symbol is described, it says “If this sign is carried, one will never lose one’s way in storms or bad weather, even when the way is not known.”
All CelticKnotWorks pieces are proudly handcrafted in the USA. This pendant is my original design, designed from scratch by me. I make these pendants in partnership with my family business, Deva Designs.

The design is well made with excellent precision. I wear this pendant when I go on road trips far from home so that I feel safe. Amazing work 🙂 I always enjoy the extra little Celtic acorn charms that come with these packages too.
