Be Your Own Kind of Awesome: The Celtic Knot Works Story

Bob Heiney

Since I was young, I have loved three things: old legends & lore, the awesomeness of the outdoors, and creating cool things. Put that together with some amazing travel, fun times working the Ren Faire circuit, and the family art business, and you get Celtic Knot Works – the home for the jewelry, titanium accessories, and gifts I design.

My artistic philosophy is very simple. I make the things I like to wear & use myself. My very first pendant was the Celtic Bear, with its message of “Strength Courage Compassion Wisdom”. Meaning and magic is woven into my design process. Celtic, Norse, and Mystic traditions influence what I make – and everything has to pass the “Ooh, that’s cool!” test. I’m particularly proud of my Rune Sets, which include the Elder Futhark in both pewter and oak.

All our fine American pewter is hand cast in the USA, working with experienced talented craftsmen in Arizona and Wisconsin. All laser engraving on our Oak, Titanium, and Stainless Steel pieces is done by me, right here in my Colorado studio.

Having the freedom to bring my visions to life with my awesome wife Suzie, is my favorite part of being an independent artist. I’m deeply grateful for the support that makes this possible.

Suzie Brucker Heiney

Suzie Brucker Heiney’s art is based in the land, sea, and sky. Whether searching the fields for flowers and seedpoofs, or scanning the skies for rainbows and meteors, she is a strong believer in the sacred beauty and wonder of nature.

Suzie is the steady hand at the helm of our family jewelry business, Deva Designs. She is also lead designer of the Symbols & Sigils Collection. Her love of pattern, color, and light drives her to creating designs that remind us of our strengths, and that we are all interconnected. She works and lives in Colorado with Bob, where the Sangre de Cristo Mountains meet the High Prairie, along the meanders of the Arkansas River.
